This series depicts one-to-one encounters linked by a stripped-back colour palette inspired by the shimmering purple-orange skies, green palms, and deep, sparkling, dreamy hues of Los Angeles, the city where they were created. Simnett used these intimate watercolour sessions as a way to get to know local artists and reconnect with friends.
